I have a Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB 30-06 US serial number 181312. Anyone have any idea what model this is and what it could be worth?

Your HVA was made in 1955. It's built on the Husqvarna Improved Mauser action, usually called the 1600. With out pictures and more info, the model can not be known for sure. Depending on model and condition, value is anywhere from $200 for a dog to $600 or so for an Imperial or Helstock.

It loks like a Crown Grade Model 3000. From the shape in the pics,if the barrel is in very good shape,I'd say it's worth around $450 or so. What's the discoloration of the wood by the receiver?

That looks almost like a solvent stain to me, what do you think, Woodbeef, same thing?

Not sure what the stains are. I thought it may be some kind of rot but the wood is solid inside and out.
Thanks for the info.

It is sitting in a custom, I think, stock made of walnut with a squared off foregrip. It has a stepped medium heavy barrel with a counter sunk crown and it is chambered in 308. At first I thought this might be an aftermarket barrel but the blue wear matches the receiver and the serial numbers match as well. A Husqvarna rifle with serial number 142200 was made in 1952. I hope this helps. If you need more information on that rifle, let me know.

Husqvarna Rifles Serial Numbers

I recently had my firearms license renewed by the police and part of the procedure is a home inspection and serial number check of my guns.(this is the UK I am talking about). I had removed the shoulder stock of the 33 the previous day to show the serial number at the tang position, and noticed a few 'dings' on the stock bolt. Parts on Husqvarna made rifles are not numbered to the same extent as on rifles made by Mauser or Carl Gustaf. A few weapons that are assembled by pupils at the Armourer-course (VOK) have the name of that pupil instead of a serial number. After the course the Armourer kept the weapon as his personal belonging., 2:22 PM.
